Challenges of Agriculture for a Sustainable Future

Mobiliy Week: April 20-24, 2026

The BIP offers participants a comprehensive and multidisciplinary learning experience designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Through a combination of online and in-person learning, the program explores the relationship between agriculture and ecosystems, emphasizing sustainable techniques such as organic farming, agroforestry, and conservation practices. Participants will investigate the impacts of climate change on agricultural systems and develop strategies for adaptation and mitigation, while also engaging with emerging technologies and innovations that support sustainable production.

Field visits, interactive workshops, and real-world case studies will provide hands-on experience, fostering the development of practical skills and critical thinking. The program also aims to create a collaborative platform where bachelor’s and master’s students, experts, and academics can exchange knowledge and build networks that advance sustainability in agriculture at both local and global levels.

Climate Change Impact on Global Horticulture – Trends and Challenges

Mobiliy Week: May 04-09, 2026

The BIP titled “Climate Change Impact on Global Horticulture – Trends and Challenges” employs a Project-Based Learning methodology to simultaneously enhance student teamwork and communication skills and provide foundational knowledge in horticulture and landscaping to address global climate change challenges. The program’s core technical objectives include fostering a comprehensive understanding of climate change effects on plant systems, facilitating the accurate identification of regional impacts, and enabling the critical examination of current and emerging trends within the horticultural sector. Furthermore, the curriculum emphasizes practical application through the exploration of relevant field and laboratory methods necessary for the assessment and implementation of solutions in both horticultural technologies and landscape design.

Authenticity: an important element in the preservation of rural areas

Mobiliy Week: May 11-15, 2026

The Blended Intensive Program, entitled

”Authenticity, an important element in the preservation of rural areas”, aims to raise awareness and provide training on the value of authenticity in the preservation of cultural heritage and traditions, in the context of socio-economic and cultural changes in rural environments.

Topics covered will include village particularities, case studies on conservation projects of traditional architecture and the role of authenticity in tourism, complemented by field visits to Romanian villages to directly observe the architectural, cultural and landscape specifics. These hands-on sessions will give participants the opportunity to perform authenticity assessments and propose preservation strategies.

Feeding the future – Animal productions in the context of the climate change

Mobiliy Week: June 08-12, 2026

The “Feeding the Future – Animal Productions in the Context of Climate Change” BIP brings together students and academic staff from across Europe to explore how food production systems can adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing climate. Designed as a mix of virtual learning and hands-on physical activities in Romania, the program offers participants a dynamic, multidisciplinary learning experience.

The virtual component introduces participants to innovative perspectives on sustainable animal production, alternative proteins, smart farming technologies, environmental efficiency, food waste reduction, and global food security.

The physical component enriches this theoretical foundation through field visits to farms and equestrian facilities, practical workshops on the human–animal relationship in sustainable farming, and cultural and culinary experiences that showcase Romania’s diverse heritage.

By combining science, technology, and culture, the program provides an integrated vision of how we can responsibly feed the world of tomorrow — inspiring a new generation of professionals committed to sustainability and climate resilience.

From Sensors to the Data Analysis Soil-Water Holistic Approach

Mobiliy Week: June 15-19, 2026

The BIP entitled „From Sensors to the Data Analysis Soil-Water Holistic Approach”  aims to develop a project-based learning activity. The curriculum focuses on developing students’ practical skills in assessing water and soil quality using various field and lab techniques that comply with national and EU standards. A key component is exploring technology such as the Tomographic C-Band SAR Pilot for real-time crop monitoring. All activities are set against the backdrop of climate change and its effect on soil water-holding capacity, and are designed to significantly enhance students’ teamwork and communication skills within an international setting.

The Rabbit: Livestock animal, Pet, and Experimental Model

Mobiliy Week: June 29 – July 09, 2026

The main objective of this BIP is to enhance students’ knowledge and practical skills in rabbit biology, health, and welfare, with a focus on sustainable and ethical animal production. The project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of rabbit behaviour and welfare, physiology, particularly the reproductive and digestive systems, as well as infectious and parasitic diseases affecting rabbits. Through interdisciplinary learning, participants will explore modern approaches to sanitary management, nutrition, housing, and breeding practices.

Furthermore, the BIP course promotes the application of biotechnological tools in rabbit nutrition and genetics to improve productivity and animal well-being. It also includes training on the diagnosis and treatment of common medical and surgical pathologies in rabbits, fostering veterinary competence and research-oriented thinking. By combining lectures, laboratory work, farm visits, and international collaboration, this Erasmus BIP encourages knowledge exchange, innovation, and intercultural learning among students and academic staff from different European institutions.

Trends in Biotechnology: Where Biology Meets Technology

Mobiliy Week: July 06-10, 2026

The Blended Intensive Program (BIP) entitled „Trends in Biotechnology: Where Biology Meets Technology” offers an interdisciplinary learning experience at the crossroads of biotechnology and the One Health concept. Designed for bachelor and master students, this program blends online learning with a short but intensive in-person component that will be held in the Faculty of Biotechnology – USAMV of Bucharest. Participants will explore how biotechnological innovations can be leveraged to address complex health challenges that span human, animal, and environmental health.

Living in Colours: A Cross-Disciplinary Erasmus+ Experience

Mobiliy Week: July 13-17, 2026

This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) offers an interdisciplinary exploration of the power of colour across multiple domains. “The Rainbow Diet” investigates the relationship between the consumption of colourful foods, phytonutrient diversity, and human health. The programme then extends into the field of garden design, where participants examine the principles underlying colour selection and combination in plant arrangements, considering aesthetic balance, spatial harmony, and seasonal expression. Building upon these foundations, the study advances to the art of Ikebana, through which students develop an understanding of compositional balance, natural harmony, and the expressive potential of form and colour. The final module addresses the psychology of colour in marketing and branding, analysing its impact on consumer perception and behaviour within industries such as beer and wine.

Hosted by USAMV Bucharest, this hands-on programme integrates creative workshops, intercultural tastings, and applied activities, fostering both theoretical understanding and experiential learning in a multidisciplinary context.
