Descriere program / Program description:
The Program
“BIP: Food Security and Sustainable Development” offers an interdisciplinary training experience focused on global challenges related to sustainable food systems. The course explores the concept of food and nutrition security and its integration into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030. Participants will analyze the current state of food security across different continents, including assessment methods and regional feedback. Future-oriented modules will examine prospective food systems and their potential impact on global food security. The program includes case studies and group-based student projects, promoting critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving in real-world contexts.
Objectives
- Understand the concept of food and nutrition security and its integration into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
- Analyze the current state of food security across different continents, using relevant assessment tools and regional feedback.
- Explore prospective food systems and evaluate their potential impact on global food and nutrition security.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges through the examination of case studies from diverse contexts.
- Develop teamwork and critical thinking skills by engaging in group projects focused on sustainable food system solutions.

Mobilitate online / Online component: 13.11.2025 – 6 hours online + 20/30 hours of individual study
Condiții de eligibilitate / Eligibility requirements:
- Student la zi, nivel licență sau master / Full-time student, Bachelor’s or Master’s
- Engleză B2 (certificatul de limbă străină reprezintă un avantaj) / Level B2 English (a language certificate is an advantage)
- Eseu de o pagină (format PDF), în limba engleză, despre relevanța temei programului în dezvoltarea academică și profesională a candidatului încărcat în formularul de înscriere, de pe adresa instituțională.
