The USAMV Bucharest mission consists of scientific education and research, aiming to form highly qualified specialists, with competences adapted to the demands of the labor market, in fundamental fields such as “engineering sciences” and “biological and biomedical sciences”.
The fields of studies cover USAMV Bucharest are: agronomy, biology, forestry, horticulture, zootechnics, food product engineering, applied engineering sciences, Veterinary medicine, civil engineering, environmental engineering and management, geodesic engineering, biotechnology and management and management.

Currently, USAMV of Bucharest has 7 faculties in Bucharest
- 8580 students in undergraduate study programs, full-time education, part-time education, distance learning (tax and budgeted places);

History
In 1852, Prince Barbu Ştirbei signed the act of organization of the Institute of Agriculture of Pantelimon, which started its activity in 1853. Only two years later, in 1855, the School for Veterinary Education also began its courses. Since 1867, forestry disciplines have been included in the curriculum, and agronomic education in Bucharest has developed under the name of the “Central School of Agriculture and Forestry”. In 1868, the first agricultural research institution in Romania was founded, known as the Bucharest Agronomic Station. In 1869, the headquarters of the School were moved to Mărăști Boulevard and in 1915 was founded the first Higher School of Agriculture closed to Herăstrău. In 1921, the Higher School of Veterinary Medicine was transformed into the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.
