The Department for the Training of Teaching Staff is a didactic and scientific research structure, subordinate to the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, within which the psycho-pedagogical training of students/trainees is ensured, in order to train/develop professional skills (cognitive and functional-action) and transversal skills (role and personal and professional development), necessary to promote a modern didactic approach, formative, centered on formable. The psycho-pedagogical training programs carried out within the D.P.P.D. they are adapted to European educational standards, being directed towards meeting the demands of contemporary society and the current priorities of education.
The training of students and graduates of higher education with a license to practice the teaching profession is carried out in the regime of optional teaching activities.
Students and graduates of higher education with a license who opt for the teaching profession are obliged to participate in all the activities included in the D.P.P.D. curricula. regarding training for the teaching profession.
To the graduates of D.P.P.D. they are issued a graduation certificate on the basis of which they are authorized to work as teachers, in secondary, high school, post-high school and higher education, according to the law.
Graduates of university studies can occupy positions in education, provided they complete and pass the psycho-pedagogical study programs offered only by the Departments for the Training and Improvement of Teaching Personnel (D.P.P.D.) from accredited higher education institutions, established according to the law.
Certification for the teaching profession is obtained at two levels:
level I (initial), corresponding to the undergraduate cycle, with the accumulation of at least 30 transferable credits and with the granting of the right to occupy teaching positions in compulsory pre-university education;
level II (advanced), after obtaining 30 credits from level I, after the license, on the condition of completing the master’s degree in the field of the license degree and accumulating 60 final credits, having the right to occupy teaching positions in high school, post-high school, higher education;
