Pietroasa Istrița Didactic Research and Development Station for Viticulture and Pomiculture

The Pietroasa Istrița Didactic Research and Development Station for Viticulture and Pomiculture – within the USAMV Bucharest operates in two basic sectors: research and development and several other functional compartments.

Scientific research is carried out in the fields of: vine improvement, agrotechnics and viticultural protection, winemaking, fruit growing, production of planting material.

The development sector is represented by two farms: one vineyard with winemaking sector and one orchard.

70 kilometers of fruitful vineyard

The treasure of rich vineyards has long been present on the sunny hills of Pietroasa. Over time, they were brought to fruition to their full potential and went on to create an excellent reputation.

 

The Istrița Fruit Farm, located at the foot of the Subcarpathian Hills (Dealu Mare), is the place where science and fertile soils meet to continue the tradition of over 130 years of horticultural production in Romania.

The farm’s main activity is the production and marketing of fruit trees of all species adaptable to the pedoclimatic conditions in Romania.

Ferma Pomicolă Istrița situată la poalele Dealurilor Subcarpatice (Dealu Mare), este locul în care știința și solurile roditoare se întâlnesc pentru a continua tradiția de peste 130 de ani de producție horticolă inteligentă în România.

Stațiunea de Cercetare și Dezvoltare Pomicolă Istrița a USAMV București, are ca activitate de bază producerea și comercializarea pomilor fructiferi din toate speciile adaptabile condițiilor pedoclimatice din România.
