Admission to university studies of
NON-EU CITIZENS
for the academic year 2021-2022
Registration period:
- Bachelor studies:
- a. All the study programs except Veterinary Medicine: May 3 – July 31, 2021
- b. Veterinary medicine:
- Romanian language section: May 3 – July 21, 2021
- English language section: May 3 – July 16, 2021
- French language section: May 3 – July 16, 2021
- Master studies:
- All the study programs: May 3 – July 31, 2021
Application file:
- The admission process is based on application file submission, depending on the average within the limit of places, with the inclusion in the schooling capacity.
- Foreign candidates are eligible for studies in Romania if they provide documents proving citizenship of their mother country and if they are graduates with baccalaureate/bachelor/master’s degree or their equivalent, together with other documents required for the recognition and equivalence of their studies.
- The enrolment is made up according to the methodologies published by the Ministry of Education and also to the admission procedure of the university.
Every candidate must prepare a set of documents which includes:
- CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH - legalized photocopy and translation (English or Romanian);
- PASSPORT– photocopy;
- APPLICATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF THE LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE TO STUDIES- in two original copies;
- STUDY DIPLOMAS (legalized photocopy and translation into English or Romanian):
- Baccalaureate degree or equivalent for undergraduate studies;
- Bachelor diploma or equivalent for master studies,
- Baccalaureate, bachelor and master degrees for PhD studies;
- TRANSCRIPTS OF RECORDS – legalized photocopy and translation (English or Romanian). For the recognition of partial studies done abroad it must submit as well the curriculum of these courses;
- CERTIFICATE OF LANGUAGE SKILLS - exempted are the candidates coming from states whose official language is the study language of the specialization they have applied for;
- APPROVAL FORM OF THE SUPERVISOR (only for PhD candidates);
- RESEARCH TOPIC PROPOSAL - endorsed by the doctoral supervisor (only for PhD candidates);
- LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION - from two professors or two research specialists who know the PhD candidate's activity (only for PhD candidates);
- CERTIFICATE OF HEALTH - in an international language;
Please, note that:
- No application is examined if any of the required documents is missing or if spaces in the application form have been left blank.
- The original copies of these documents must be stamped by the Embassy of Romania in the issuing country or to bear the Hague Apostille Convention from the authorities of the country that issued the documents (only if the respective country is a signatory of the Hague Convention).
- Diplomas issued in countries which are not party of the Hague Convention must be authenticated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and also the Embassy of Romania in that country.
Language requirements:
- for the study programs conducted into Romanian language:
- in accordance to the Romanian legislation, foreign citizens will be registered at the University following to the graduating of the Romanian language preparatory year or on the basis of a Certificate of Romanian language skills;
- the length of the Romanian language preparatory course for:
- Bachelor: 1 academic year;
- Master/PhD/Post-graduate: 6 months;
- the candidates proving by means of documents (diplomas, certificates, study documents and transcript of records) at least four successive years studied in Romanian language in a Romanian institution or owning Certificate of Linguistic Competence (minimum B2 level) issued by the Romanian Language Institute are to be exempt from the requirement to submit the certificate of graduation from the preparatory year.
- for study programs conducted in foreign languages:
- presenting a Certificate of language skills;
- if not having a Certificate of language skills, admission is conditioned by passing a language test organized by the USAMVB, if applicable;
- exempted from this test are persons who come from countries where the official language of the state is the language in which the courses are conducted and who prove, with school documents, that they took the courses in that specific language.
Admission file submission:
The admission file needs to be submitted at the International Relations Office of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, 59 Mărăşti Boulevard, District 1, Bucharest, 011464 or by email at: Această adresă de email este protejată contra spambots. The application file is sent by the candidate with his/her full assumption regarding the authenticity and correspondence between the digital and the original documents, keeping one option for a single study program.
Taxes:
- Please, note that the tuition fee for the first academic year must be paid before submitting the visa application!
- In order to obtain a multi-annual study visa, Non-EU students are required to pay the full tuition fee at the beginning of the academic year.
- Tuition fees, in foreign currency, for self-financed candidates are paid for the entire length of the academic year (12 months).
Registration:
- For enrollment at the faculty, the student must submit the original study documents and the proof of tuition fees payment for the first academic year;
- Bachelor/Master: at the Secretary Office of the faculty that coordinates the study program chosen by the candidate and for which he/she has obtained the Letter of Acceptance to Studies.
- PhD: at the Secretary Office of the Doctoral School after the Letter of Acceptance to Studies had been issued.

The Admission Committee responsible for managing the application files and carrying out all the issues related to the admission consists of:

IMPORTANT!
The admission process takes the following steps:
- 1) The application file is registered at the university;
- 2) If complete, the application file is processed by the university and sent for evaluation to the Ministry of Education;
- 3) For the candidates accepted, the Ministry of National Education will issue the Letter of Acceptance to Studies, which will be sent in original to the university (in terms of at least 30 working days);
- 4) The university will inform the candidate about the acceptance and will send him/her the document;
- 5) The candidate must contact the closest Romanian Embassy and search for information concerning the study visa application. The visa application is a personal approach and the university is not in the position to interfere in this process. In case the visa application includes some documents issued by the university the candidate must require specifically those documents.
- 6) For enrollment at the faculty the student must submit the original study documents and the proof of tuition fees payment for the first academic year.
