AllEcoSys at IFALL 2025: Co-creating resilient agroecosystems through Living Labs 15 – 17 October 2025 Bordeaux, France

The AllEcoSys Project is proud to announce its participation in the International Forum on Agroecosystem Living Labs (IFALL 2025), held in Bordeaux, France, from 15 to 17 October 2025.

Organized by INRAE and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), with the support of the OECD Co-operative Research Programme and the AGROECOLOGY Partnership, this high-level forum brings together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to exchange on agroecological transitions and Living Lab methodologies that drive sustainable innovation across landscapes and communities.

AllEcoSys will contribute with insights from its European network of Agroecology Living Labs – operating in Norway, Romania, Germany, Denmark, France, – where farmers, researchers, and local actors co-create and test agroecological practices that enhance soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience.

The discussions of IFALL 2025 revolve around six major themes that strongly resonate with the AllEcoSys mission:

  • fostering agroecological transitions through co-creation and Living Labs
  • empowering farmers and local stakeholders in participatory experimentation
  • improving soil quality, biodiversity, and resilience to climate stressors
  • promoting innovation in crop diversification and integrated pest management
  • connecting science, policy, and society to shape sustainable agri-food systems
  • scaling and replicating agroecological solutions across European regions

Through its presence at IFALL 2025, AllEcoSys seeks to bring forward tangible field-based evidence of agroecological transformation – demonstrating how participatory experimentation, knowledge sharing, and farmer-driven innovation can reshape the relationship between production, biodiversity, and resilience. The project’s contribution highlights the European potential to design Living Labs as long-term open infrastructures for co-learning, adaptation, and sustainability across agricultural landscapes.
