Short-Term Mobility Opportunities for Non-University Tertiary College Students – Future Specialists in the Food Industry

A key component of this project is represented by the short-term mobility opportunities offered to students from the non-university tertiary college of USAMV Bucharest, enrolled in food industry–related specializations. They will have the opportunity to take part in educational activities organized at partner institutions in Spain and the Netherlands, where they will participate in:

  • thematic workshops on nutrition and mental health;
  • practical activities and cooking sessions focused on local/traditional cuisine;
  • exchange of experience with students from other educational systems;
  • case studies and applied activities in international contexts.

These mobilities will contribute to the development of participants’ professional, social, and intercultural skills, while also facilitating a better understanding of how nutrition and lifestyle influence psychological well-being.

  • Project Aim and Objectives

The main goal of the project is to promote healthy eating habits to improve mental well-being among vocational education students in Spain, the Netherlands, and Romania, by providing knowledge and skills that support informed food choices, while also respecting the culinary traditions of each country.

  • Specific objectives:
  • Raising awareness of the link between diet and mental well-being among students, teachers, and the educational community.
  • Developing inclusive educational materials on nutrition and mental health, adapted to cultural diversity and different learning needs.
  • Offering real learning experiences through workshops, cooking sessions, and case studies based on traditional foods from the three countries.
  • Promoting intercultural exchange and respect for European culinary diversity.
  • Supporting students with fewer opportunities by identifying solutions for access to healthy food and addressing the impact of food insecurity on mental health.

USAMV Bucharest’s involvement in this project enhances its role in advancing applied education, fostering international collaboration, and supporting the well-being of vocational students, while providing them with practical learning experiences and authentic opportunities for European mobility.
